Natural Gas Wells Mapper

Natural Gas Well Maps

The Natural Gas Wells Mapper is an ongoing collaborative effort of the entire community of landowner members and all are encouraged to participate. It is too big for just a few volunteers.

This is a really exciting project because you can track the progress of new natural gas wells as permits are issued and find the hotspots. Then, as the Google satellite images are updated, you will be able to drill right down to visually see the footprint of the natural gas wells.

If you have an interest in helping to map your area, Contact the Well Mapping Team

Other Maps

For those who might want to explore the Public Oil and Gas Map Resources for themselves, the following will prove useful:
For West Virginia
http://gis.wvdep.org/oog/

For PA - a bit complicated, on the Facilities Tab, locate Oil&Gas Location and click on the square box, and click on the Oil and Gas Well circle. - then zoom to the area of interest as small an area as possible to include what you want. It is an award winning Tool - so it is a bit complicated at first use.
